LKN Engineering and Testing offers a broad range of geotechnical engineering services for projects located in North Carolina and South Carolina. Our geotechnical engineering services include site feasibility investigation, foundation design, geo-structural design, retaining walls, slope stability and seepage analyses, asphalt and rigid pavement evaluations.
The LKN team is proficient to provide due diligence consulting services which includes field explorations, laboratory testing, and preparation of the preliminary and final engineering reports. Our geotechnical engineering recommendations are based on local knowledge of piedmont and coastal plain soils, implementation of the field and laboratory testing program, and our past experience and engineering experities working on similar types of projects.

LKN's soil testing Laboratory is AASHTO accredited. Please visit the link below to view our accreditation directory listing. Our team is experienced to perform a wide variety of soil, aggregate, and materials testing.
LKN has AASHTO Accredited laboratory in our Mooresville location. The laboratory program is performed in general accordance with the applicable AASHTO/ASTM procedures considering local and regional standard of care practices.

Quality assurance and quality control services are prerequisite tasks to facilitate construction work. Field and laboratory material testing provides confirmation that design specifications are being met during construction.Construction material testing and inspection is a key focus of LKN. Construction monitoring services can be provided on a part-time or full-time basis. At LKN, all field inspections and special inspections for earthwork, concrete, masonry, and structural steel are supported by the bench strength of licensed professional engineer.
